While researching my photographer, Hector Sos, I was able to find nothing about his personal life. He did a good job of keeping his personal life away from the public and only perceives it through his art. His art shows through how he view people, society and identity which was very eye opening on a personal level. One of his projects that he has constructed is called paper faces. The significance of this piece deals with identity. The hidden identity of people is hidden such as paper faces, literally. I feel that this may show some personal info. Maybe past experiences or memories that have impacted him negatively or positively. Sos tends to keep his composition simple, yet it adds a complex effect on his work. I feel his positioning of the people is important to the shapes on the paper used. I really like this project of his because not only does he portray his purpose, but anyone can interpret it on their own. His other pieces are just as strong, but i feel portraits of people are more successful.
